Just some random pics!

Here are just a few pictures of what we have been doing latley. We have been doing some painting and cleaning. He loves to help do anything. He also loves to talk to grandma (my mom) on the phone. I think it is pretty cute. The last picture Dain took of us. It was after a long day of work. We were wiped out!!!

This is when Dain finally let me take a break from our bike ride.

At the beginning of spring break my parents called from St. George letting us know that it was 70 degrees, and this was at 5 p.m. I looked out the window and saw our car covered in snow. I told Dain he could either take me or I was going without him but either way i was outta here. Needless to say he decided it didn't sound that bad either so we quickly packed, loaded our bikes and were gone. The weather was so nice so Dain thought we better try out our new mountain bikes. To me when he says try out the bike i picture a leisurely ride the cool breeze blowing, maybe a few paved hills here and there. Laughing and talking as we go. Obviously our pictures were not the same. We get to the trail that is a little bigger than the width of our bikes, the one side is rocks, the other side 40ft cliffs. Dain flies down the trail, and I'm shaking, praying please don't die please don't die. I finally reach dain on the "easy" trail or so they say, we went about a mile before i see dain have to jump off these rocks, fly like 10 ft in the air and land on the ground below. And then he says come on its not to bad. Well long story short, i did live to tell this story because i did not go past that point. i am a little embarrassed to admit that, being the competitive person i am, but i contemplated for minutes before i decided i did have a child to raise and i did want to go shopping that day. thus the reason i turned around and went back. Sorry Dain maybe one day i will get a little braver. :)

I can't believe how good Dylan and Jake are at skiing and snowboarding!!

Last week for spring break we went to Grand Targhee skiing with all of the Schwab/Pierson family. We had so much fun. The kids are getting so good and they are so fun to watch. Little Aubree would cruise down the mountain. The guys of course were showing off all of there snowboarding skills as you can see in the pictures above. (sorry they are kind of off centered Dain was taking them while they were boarding with a disposable camera.) Sorry girls i would have posted some pictures of us snowboarding but i dont think we are as good as we thought we were and i have pics to prove it. ha ha :) thats ok we've had kids right. It was a lot of fun to hang out with family and just enjoy the beautiful weather. I actually didnt hate the snow for a few days while we were there. I remembered that some good does come out of all of that white stuff. It sure did feel nice to have some sunshine, even if we all come back with raccoon eyes. :) We couldn't have asked for better days!!

Dayton and I were able to spend some time in Idaho with the Batemans. Ashie and Dayton have such a funny relationship. One minute they will be fighting over a toy and the next, Ashlynn will say "come on son, we have a job to do." and he will obediently follow, and they will play by themselves. They also love to give kisses. I had to capture how cute they were kissing. They kissed about 10 times in a row before deciding that was enough. It is so wonderful to have cousins close enough to play (and fight) with. I also love having a sister close enough to visit whenever i want.

We Have a Blog!

With some pushing of friends i finally excepted the challenge of creating a blog. And that was exactlly what it was, a challenge! It took me about two hours! Well we are just living the Star Valley life. Waiting the arrival of Spring. There is still about 3ft. of snow. Dain is working hard in the Funeral Business. He just returned home from Douglas last night from county coroner school. I was so glad!! That was his last set of schooling and test taking! Yippy! Dayton and i have our daily outside visits. Where i soak up what little sun we have and he enjoys racking the snow. He is getting so big and cute. He really is such a wonderful part of our lives. We are very blessed for the lives we live.
